Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiographer Specialist CT/MRI to join our team at South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality imaging services to our patients, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure excellent patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Rotate through the department, undertaking unsupervised procedures in CT, MRI, and other modalities, ensuring high standards of patient care and adhering to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Perform all clinical examinations to the highest standards, monitoring and initiating changes to improve care as necessary.
  • Assist and advise radiographers, assistant practitioners, and radiographic aides, ensuring knowledge is kept up to date with the latest developments in radiography.
  • Participate in weekend and weekday shifts, including occasional overnight shifts and Bank Holidays, maintaining a clean and tidy environment ready for immediate use.
  • Be familiar with all departmental clinical protocols and procedures for all modalities, ensuring seamless communication with wards, departments, clinicians, and support staff.
Requirements
  • DCR or BSc in Radiology, with evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) since qualification.
  • State Registered, with a minimum of 2 years post-registration experience, preferably in CT and/or another specialist area.
  • High-quality clinical skills in plain film, broad clinical experience, and ability to work in a busy A&E environment managing daily workload.
  • Good communication skills, articulate, and able to communicate with Consultant Radiologists and all other staff within the department.
  • Ability to liaise with consultants, ward staff, and Senior AED/ITU staff/theatre for medical emergencies/GA, and work in a flexible environment.
