About the Role:

Sellick Partnership (Legal) Limited is proud to be working with an exceptional legal services team in Luton, Bedfordshire. We are looking for a Senior Employment Lawyer to join the Litigation legal team at Luton Borough Council to provide expert advice and representation in all areas of employment law.

The role will involve delivering comprehensive professional legal advice to the Borough Council and client departments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as a legal advisor to client organisations
  • Providing support and advice to HR Departments on employment-related matters including TUPE, Redundancy, Unfair Dismissal, Discrimination, and Maternity
  • Preparing Employment Tribunal cases and acting as an advocate where required
  • Attending courts and tribunals undertaking advocacy where required and representing clients in negotiations and discussions with third parties

We are looking for candidates with previous advocacy experience and exceptional relationship-building, networking, and influencing skills. A qualified Solicitor, barrister or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE is required to apply.
