Unit Manager Job Description

We're seeking an experienced and passionate Unit Manager to oversee our catering and service operations for a major High Street brand. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for ensuring our kitchens and service counters run smoothly, delivering exceptional food experiences, and driving sales through innovative food and service concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of culinary and service professionals to deliver impeccable food and customer service
  • Oversee the efficiency of all in-unit catering operations, including inventory management, budget monitoring, and action plan implementation
  • Communicate regularly with your line manager to monitor KPIs and targets
  • Represent Compass Group UK&I and maintain a positive brand image
  • Liaise between customers and our culinary and service teams to ensure we exceed expectations
  • Support and train our teams to excel in their roles
  • Implement and review Health & Safety standards to ensure compliance across all catering and service teams

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of catering experience
  • Experience managing teams in a similar role
  • NVQ Level 1 & 2 or City & Guilds 706/1 and 2
  • Basic Food Hygiene certificate
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Ambitious and motivated individual with a passion for great-tasting food and exceptional customer service
