Job Overview

The Ministry of Defence is seeking a highly skilled Requirements Manager to join their UKStratCom Infrastructure team. This exciting opportunity will see you play a key role in supporting the delivery of the Defence Estates Optimisation (DEO) programme.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders at all levels. As a Requirements Manager, you will be responsible for managing the business-facing elements of major infrastructure delivery projects, from concept to handover and closeout.

You will work closely with cross-functional project teams to develop and manage Business Cases, coordinate engagement with partners, and ensure project outputs are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a real impact on the Ministry of Defence's strategic objectives and contribute to the success of the DEO programme.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage projects using the DIO Capital Projects Process/Forward Approval Plan (FAP) and Command Infrastructure Delivery Plan (CIDP)
  • Coordinate and develop Business Cases and other supporting documentation
  • Engage with various partners, positively challenging Performance, Time, Cost, and Risks to ensure project outputs are delivered
  • Undertake Tender Evaluation and Moderation and review DIO's client specs/associated documents for projects
  • Lead on programme and project governance
  • Training, Learning, and CPD

This role is based at Shrivenham, which has good travel links and free car parking. We also offer flexible working arrangements, including office and home-based working, subject to business needs.

Please note that relocation expenses are not offered for this role.
