About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Room Leader to join our team at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for leading a team of Early Years professionals and ensuring the highest standards of care and education for our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Early Years professionals to deliver high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years
  • Develop and implement engaging and challenging learning programs that meet the needs of all children
  • Ensure the nursery is a safe and healthy environment for children, staff, and visitors
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of nursery policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Full and relevant Level 3 or above Early Years qualification
  • Previous experience working within an Early Years setting, ideally as a Room Leader, Nursery Nurse, or Early Years Educator
  • Sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage and relevant legislation
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding, Child Protection, and wider legislative requirements
  • Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with colleagues and parents
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults
