Speech and Language Therapist Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in Chesterfield, Derbyshire. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will work with individuals with complex communication needs, including those with learning disabilities, mental illnesses, and autistic spectrum disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex cases, taking into account cultural and linguistic differences, and develop effective strategies for communication and swallowing disorders.
  • Contribute to the assessment and information-gathering regarding service users' mental capacity and ability to give informed consent, working closely with senior colleagues.
  • Assist service users in maximizing their independence in decision-making and communicating their wishes.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of managing a caseload involving assessment and treatment of Dysphagia.
  • Experience of working with families and individuals with complex communication needs.
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development and a commitment to staying up-to-date with best practices in the field.
  • Able to demonstrate a can-do attitude and a passion for delivering high-quality care.
What We Offer:
  • An excellent salary of £42,000 per annum.
  • A permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours a week.
