Job Description:

We are seeking Learning Assistants to work with us in supporting Looked After Children in achieving academic excellence. As a Learning Assistant, you will work closely with our team to provide individualised learning support and help young people prepare for exams or reintegrate into mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver tailored learning support to students who require additional help
  • Teach essential skills in English, Maths, and behaviour management
  • Develop strong relationships with pupils and their families to ensure individualised support
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • At least 6 months experience within an educational environment
  • Experience working with pupils on a 1-1 basis
  • A genuine passion for making a positive impact on young people's learning
  • Understanding of Positive Behaviour Strategies and experience of helping children self-regulate emotions
  • Knowledge of working with vulnerable young people in the care system and those with SEN
