Weighbridge Operative Role Summary

We are currently recruiting for a highly motivated Weighbridge Operative to join our team at Leaton Quarry, Shropshire. This is a unique opportunity to develop your skills in material management and contribute to the success of the Breedon Group plc.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a team environment. You will be responsible for accurately weighing in and out of materials, directing goods inwards, controlling site access, and maintaining the weighbridge area.

As a Weighbridge Operative, you will also be involved in customer service, taking orders, and ensuring customer accounts are up-to-date. If you have previous experience in a similar role or are willing to learn, we would like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the operation and maintenance of the weighbridge, including equipment upkeep and cleaning
  • Directing goods inwards to correct locations, ensuring accurate inventory levels
  • Controlling the entry to site of all customers, lorries, and visitors, enforcing health and safety protocols
  • Recording time of despatch and return of trucks, monitoring material movement
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good numeracy skills for accurate data processing
  • Previous experience in a similar role, or willingness to learn
