Role Overview

GSL Education is supporting a SEND school in seeking Learning Mentors to join their team on a full-time, long-term basis with the possibility of going permanent.

The school provides a personalized education package to students with complex needs or EHCP pupils at risk of being educated in residential placements. The pupils are across KS3-4 with various needs, including Autism, ADHD, and behavioral challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide students as Learning Mentors, offering personalized guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to develop comprehensive support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that promotes improved social interactions and communication skills.
  • Assist with daily tasks, academic activities, and implement effective interventions to address behavior challenges and promote positive outcomes.

Requirements:

  • UK driving license with access to a car.
  • Happy to use the car for business use and have business insurance.
  • Effective communication abilities to ensure clear interactions.
  • Demonstrated patience and empathy along with flexibility and adaptability.
  • Dedication to the success of students.
