About the Role
The department of Medical Physics and Clinical Engineering at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Governance and Quality Expert to lead the quality and governance matters related to the department.
Main Responsibilities
- Direct and lead the team in ensuring effective and efficient operation and ongoing registration and certification of the quality system within the department.
- Provide specialist knowledge to ensure the Trust's Medical Physics become progressively more effective in the delivery of quality Medical Physics services.
- Be the responsible officer for all aspects of quality, standards and governance within the department.
- Secure compliance with internal policies and external bodies.
- Act as the responsible officer for provision of all departmental policies and procedures.
- Act as the risk manager for the department.
- Provide training in quality management.
- Professionally manage deputy quality manager and line manage quality and governance officer.
- To support the department in progressing quality improvement projects in engineering or physics projects depending on the background and experience of the candidate.
