Electrical Estimator

Russell Taylor Group Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Estimator to join their team in the West Midlands.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely estimates for company projects from pre-tender to post-tender stage.
This role will involve maintaining consistent communication with stakeholders internally and externally to optimize the company's commercial advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for consistent workflow to keep the company operational in Ireland and the UK.
• Ensure each tender is completed consistently and in line with company procedure.
• Gain knowledge of actual installation time and review projects after completion to evaluate where actual is not in line with budgeted.
• Assist the estimating team to achieve the business unit's revenue plan by producing accurate and timely estimates.
• Liaise with other employees to identify, share, and implement best practice.
• Prepare each tender in a consistently structured and accurate format in line with company policies, standards, and processes.
• Produce accurate take-off and measures of tenders and subsequent inputting into estimating software.
• Vet enquiries received to comply with the preparation and dispatch of accurate supplier/subcontract enquiries.
• Work with specialist subcontractors and assess quotations to validate information received and confirm spec compliance.
• Prepare Product Substitution and Value Engineering options.
• Gain up-to-date knowledge of the market place regarding pricing, competition, and volume of work to ensure relevant and competitive estimates are consistently prepared.
Requirements:
• Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or preparing electrical estimations.
• Knowledge of Electrical installations an advantage but not essential.
• Bachelor Degree Level in Engineering or similar Discipline.
• Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills."
