Electrical Estimator

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our team at King and Moffatt. As an Electrical Estimator, you will play a crucial role in preparing accurate and timely estimates for our company projects from pre-tender to post-tender stage.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain a consistent workflow to ensure the company's operational efficiency in Ireland and the UK.
- Ensure each tender is completed consistently and in line with company procedure, maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
- Gain knowledge of actual installation time and review projects after completion to evaluate where actual costs differ from budgeted costs.
- Collaborate with the estimating team to achieve the business unit's revenue plan by producing accurate and timely estimates, and liaising with other employees to identify, share, and implement best practices.
- Prepare each tender in a structured and accurate format, considering all foreseeable construction, technical, and commercial risks, and adhering to company policies, standards, and processes.
- Produce accurate take-offs and measures of tenders, and input data into estimating software to ensure a thorough understanding of the project's prime cost.
- Review and validate supplier/subcontractor enquiries, assess quotations, and confirm that they are specification-compliant.
- Develop and implement Product Substitution and Value Engineering options to optimize project costs.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, pricing, competition, and volume of work to ensure relevant and competitive estimates are consistently prepared.
- Previous experience as an Electrical Estimator or in preparing electrical estimations.
- Knowledge of Electrical installations is an advantage but not essential.
- Bachelor Degree Level in Engineering or a similar discipline.
- Understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
