Process Engineering Manager

We are currently seeking an exceptional Process Engineering Manager to join our global team of professionals at CL Recruitment Group. This role is based at our Bridgend site, with the option to work from home.
As a key member of our technical team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the successful design, implementation, and operation of heat exchange equipment. You will be involved in projects worldwide, spanning various industries, including the production of sugar and the development of next-generation solar-thermal electricity.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of engineers in the development of process engineering deliverables, including PFDs, HMBs, P&IDs, Process Control Narratives, equipment datasheets, and heat transfer calculations.
- Participating in hazard analysis, including What-Ifs, HAZOPs, and HAZIDs.
- Supporting registration of pressure vessels and piping.
- Leading and validating process simulations for the design of new heat transfer equipment.
- Supporting field commissioning activities and troubleshooting heat exchange equipment.
- Coordinating with other functional groups and project managers to manage workloads.
- Mentoring junior engineers and supporting their development.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- An engineering degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
- At least 15 years of process engineering experience.
- Deep knowledge of transport phenomena and thermodynamics.
- Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements for industry codes and standards internationally, including ABSA, NFPA, ANSI, PED, and ASME.
- Chartered Engineer (IChemE) status.
