Job Title: Head of Asset Management and Sustainability

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the UK, with a turnover of over £1 billion. We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Asset Management and Sustainability team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Trust's Estates operational services, assurance, and governance processes to ensure a safe environment and high-quality services are delivered.
  • Develop and implement strategies for Planned and Reactive Maintenance and Repairs, Sustainability, and M&E Technical Support.
  • Build and develop partnerships with clinical and non-clinical colleagues and external agencies to ensure Estates services are considered in the Trust's Clinical Service Strategy.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for Building and Engineering Day-to-day aspects, and participate in the process of producing maintenance strategies and capital project work.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety standards and statutory obligations.
  • Manage the Trust's Estate grounds and gardens, and piped medical gas installations.
  • Lead, coach, and manage the performance of the team in line with good people management practices.
Requirements:
  • Professional engineering or building knowledge acquired through degree or equivalent.
  • HTM00 series safe systems of work training.
  • Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH Managing safety) or equivalent.
  • Excellent understanding of national guidance applicable to NHS Estates and Facilities Management standards.
  • Significant post-qualification experience and successful track record of managing Estates and Facilities assets and services.
