Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Hardware Engineer to join our Engineering team at Siemens Energy Gas and Power Services in Lincoln. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing and developing Turbine and Auxiliary Control Panel hardware and Turbine Package electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop innovative solutions to replace obsolete equipment and parts to maintain the company's fleet of gas turbines.
  2. Convert these solutions into generic replacement kits and parts for retrofitting.
  3. Design and construct new hardware solutions to replace obsolete Turbine control systems or upgrade current systems.
  4. Support sales by providing detailed quotes for engineering times, potential hardware requirements, and possible engineering solutions.

Requirements

  1. A degree in an engineering subject area, preferably related to Controls, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, and Software.
  2. Working experience with hardware design CAD tools, such as Promise-e and Microstation.
  3. Knowledge of change/configuration management tools and processes, as well as experience with other IT-related tools and software for business analytics and project management.
  4. Experience with IEC60079 Explosive atmospheres Part 14: Electrical Installation design and selection is beneficial.
  5. Working experience with gas turbine technology or similar industrial products for the Oil & Gas or Energy industry is advantageous.
