Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team at a 'good' 2 form entry school in Tottenham. This is a full-time position for the remainder of the academic year, starting in September 2024.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering RWI phonics sessions using the Ruth Miskin Phonics Method, working with SEN children, assessing individual learning needs, and positively managing challenging behavior. They will also be required to liaise with parents, carers, and other professionals, supervise activities, and work with teachers to develop bespoke and individualized education plans.

Requirements
  • Experience in KS1
  • Ability to deliver RWI phonics sessions
  • Experience working with SEN children
  • Assessment and management of challenging behavior
  • Liaising with parents and other professionals
  • Supervising activities and developing education plans
