Job Title: KS1 Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Ribbons and Reeves Limited.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work closely with a child in a KS1 class who requires additional support due to Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC). The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, patience, and the ability to build strong relationships with children and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to the child with ASC, helping them to access the curriculum and participate in class activities.
  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher and other support staff to develop and implement strategies to support the child's learning and well-being.
  • Assist with the preparation and implementation of lesson plans, ensuring that the child's needs are met.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and carers to ensure that the child's needs are met and that they are kept informed of progress.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with children with ASC or similar needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a calm demeanor.
