Fabric Manager Job Description

CBW Staffing Solutions is seeking a skilled Fabric Manager to join our team. As a Fabric Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day activities of the Fabric Team and fabric-related sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure that reactive maintenance is carried out to all site fabric assets, maintaining a high standard and adhering to service level agreements.
  2. Generate proposals and supervise minor and extra works from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
  3. Liaise with sub-contractors to obtain quotations prior to preparing minor and extra works proposals, ensuring accurate and comprehensive records are kept.
  4. Support the Account Manager in setting and utilizing the annual fabric and project budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation.
  5. Lead bi-monthly fabric meetings with the Account Manager, driving collaboration and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  6. Diagnose building/fabric defects and recommend remedial works, ensuring prompt resolution and minimal disruption.
  7. Develop specifications for small works and tender/manage small works packages, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  8. Ensure the Fabric team is suitably skilled and trained, implementing training plans and monitoring progress.
  9. Verify that Fabric Technicians are undertaking work tasks as directed, with suitable H&S awareness and implementation.
  10. Experience in fabric maintenance works in a commercial environment is essential, with management of small works projects and project management skills highly desirable.
  11. IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualifications are required, with experience working on Listed commercial properties and dealing with English Heritage highly desirable.
