Job Title: Special Educational Needs Teacher

About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Educational Needs Teacher to join our team at Empowering Learning. As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects to children with Special Educational Needs in a SEND school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a range of subjects to children with Special Educational Needs
  • Planning lessons and activities for whole class learning and group learning
  • Supporting children with their work in a class setting
  • Managing difficult behaviours and implementing the school behaviour policy
  • Safeguarding vulnerable pupils
  • Supporting and managing teaching assistants within the classroom
  • Building relationships with staff and pupils
  • Collecting evidence of pupils' work to support their assessments
  • Feedback to the relevant member of staff about the pupils' progress
  • Having pastoral responsibility for a group of pupils
