About the Position
We are seeking a skilled SEN Teacher to join our team at Bestwood Village School. As a Special Educational Needs Teacher, you will create a positive and safe learning environment for our pupils with autism, complex needs, and learning difficulties.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have a background of teaching English and Maths, delivering high-quality lessons at a good or outstanding level. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, evaluating, assessing, and reporting the teaching and learning of pupils.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create a capable learning environment where pupils thrive, have their needs met, and access positive interactions.
- Secure high-quality teaching through effective use of resources and planning.
- Organise personalised learning activities and experiences differentiated to meet individual needs and levels.
- Plan, track, evaluate, assess, and report pupil progress.
- Supervise, develop, and manage Teaching Assistants relevant to their responsibilities.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies as necessary.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status or Qualified Teacher Learning & Skills.
- Primary Teacher experience in EYFS Years 1-4 and SEND Teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits
We offer an estimated salary range of £35,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes life assurance, pension scheme, and access to mental health support services.
