Job Title

Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Application Engineer to join our team at dormakaba Canada Inc. as a key member of our Engineering department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regional technical support for our range of Advanced Diagnostics/Silca Automotive Key products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and internal stakeholders on the use and troubleshooting of our products.
  • Product Development: Collaborate with the Engineering team to develop new hardware and software products, ensuring they meet the required specifications and standards.
  • Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing and validation of products and software to ensure they meet the required quality and performance standards.
  • Documentation and Training: Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, guides, and training materials, to support the use and maintenance of our products.
  • Industry Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the automotive industry, including suppliers, manufacturers, and other relevant parties.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Education: A diploma in Automotive Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in automotive diagnostics or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a strong understanding of vehicle systems architecture and communication standards.
  • Language: Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
  • Other: A full UK driving license and flexibility to travel regionally and internationally.
