As Spotify continues to expand and innovate, we are seeking a dedicated Fraud Analyst to join our dynamic Commerce Fraud Operations team. This is your opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing our fraud prevention strategy, ensuring the safety and integrity of our platform for users worldwide.

What You'll Do:
  • Investigate suspicious activity flagged by our advanced fraud detection systems and implement mitigating actions to protect genuine users and revenue streams.
  • Proactively identify emerging fraud and abuse trends. Present your findings and leverage your expertise to recommend improvements to existing controls and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Data Science, Engineering, and Product teams to influence and implement system changes in response to evolving fraud landscapes.
  • Continuously seek to enhance our fraud prevention capabilities by researching cutting-edge technologies and methods within the industry.
  • Manage daily fraud and abuse-related processes, escalations, and alerts effectively.
  • Support the Fraud Operations Lead in maintaining and refining internal policies, procedures, and documentation.
  • Provide analytical support to the wider fraud team by assisting with ad hoc queries.
Who You Are:
  • Possess 2+ years of experience in a fraud analyst role, ideally within a merchant fraud environment.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with common fraud prevention techniques and current industry trends.
  • Have direct experience working with machine learning and rule-based fraud prevention tools (e.g., Ravelin/Sift/Signifyd/Accertify).
  • Be proficient in data analysis using SQL. Knowledge of Google BigQuery is a valuable asset.
  • Have experience with dashboard visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar.
  • Exhibit an ambitious and creative mindset, working independently to solve complex problems and translate intricate ideas into practical applications for diverse audiences.
  • Be a strong communicator and collaborator with proven experience in building and nurturing relationships with internal stakeholders, operations teams, and partners.
