Senior Health Public Health Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Health Public Health Engineer to join our national team in the United Kingdom and Ireland. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating all aspects of project delivery, with a focus on Public Health and Fire Suppression systems.

About the Role

As a Senior Health Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and coordinating project delivery, including design, implementation, and monitoring.
  • Contributing to the overall design and delivery of projects, with a focus on Public Health and Fire Suppression systems.
  • Identifying opportunities for digital automation and optimization of building systems.
  • Liaising and interacting with other UK Building Services teams and Overseas Resourcing Centres to deliver projects from a wide range of sectors.
  • Helping to manage technical risk and assist in fee proposals and resourcing.
  • Providing pastoral care for younger generation of Public Health Engineers in your local office.
  • Being a core influencer of our team's Public Health design skills, systematically reducing risk and improving efficiency in our delivery of low and net zero carbon design solutions.
  • Proactively pursuing continuous professional development, including working towards chartership with a recognized institution, as well as promoting the field of Public Health.
About You

To succeed in this role, you must have a solid grounding in engineering principles and an inquisitive nature and enthusiasm for the built environment. You will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant subject, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience with leading and coordinating all aspects of project delivery, with a focus on Public Health.
  • Forward thinking and enthusiasm for digital design innovation and 'smart design' in an increasingly digitalized construction arena.
  • Strong technical knowledge in the field of Public Health and Fire Suppression, including Water Services, Above Ground Drainage (including Rainwater Disposal Systems). Some experience or interest in Below Ground Drainage (including SUDS) and Gas Services would be preferred.
  • Proficient using Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Excel, and Revit.
