Job Title: Tax Advisory Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Tax Advisory Specialist to join our team at Carpenter Box LLP. As a Tax Advisory Specialist, you will provide tax advice across a wide range of sectors and taxes, working closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop effective tax strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, ensuring timely and accurate clearance applications and responses to enquiries.
  • Draft reports and letters of advice on tax advisory issues, providing clear and concise guidance to clients.
  • Prepare calculations to support tax advice, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Liaise with clients and attend meetings with other team members to discuss tax strategies and provide updates.
  • Train and review the work of junior team members, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality tax advice.
Requirements:
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex tax concepts to clients.
  • Excellent teamwork and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve tax issues.
  • A keen interest in learning and developing tax knowledge, with a commitment to staying up-to-date with changes in tax legislation.
