Job Description
TITLE: Procurement Specialist
LOCATION: Abercynon, South Wales

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our busy Purchasing Team at TT Electronics Abercynon. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of suppliers from whom we buy goods and services critical to our operations.

Responsibilities:
- Select suppliers and negotiate prices for materials and/or services required, ensuring procurement of nominated materials and services by the most economic, timely, and efficient means.
- Analyze, negotiate, and report supplier price changes.
- Conduct periodic commodity surveys to obtain price comparisons and evaluate market trends to develop new services and create cost savings.
- Select new and alternative sources of supply in collaboration with technical staff.
- Ensure all purchasing requisitions and programs are correct and reflect current supplier lead times, keeping management and user departments informed where changes threaten work programs.

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing within a manufacturing or similar environment.
- Ability to think strategically with an innovative approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost reduction through the use of appropriate strategic purchasing tools.
- Familiarity with ERP, MRP systems, and purchasing systems.

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum.
