Job Description:

Role Overview:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistant – SEN Experienced to join our team of education professionals. As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a dynamic and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting Students: Provide individualized support to students with SEN needs, helping them to achieve their academic and personal goals.
  • Lesson Preparation: Assist teachers in preparing lessons and adapting them to meet the needs of students with SEN.
  • Behaviour Management: Help implement behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Student Development: Encourage students to develop their independence, social skills, and self-confidence.
  • Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and contribute to the school's overall SEN strategy.
  • Communication: Work closely with teachers and other staff members to support the educational and emotional development of students.

Requirements:

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a relevant field is necessary.
  • Experience: Experience working with children, ideally in an SEN environment, is required.
  • Safeguarding: A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices is essential.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff are necessary.
  • Flexibility: Flexibility and adaptability to address the needs of the school and students are required.
