Job Summary:

Award-winning nursery group seeks an experienced and passionate Nursery Manager to lead a team of educators in delivering high-quality early years education in the Essex area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, delivery, and assessment of a play-based curriculum in adherence to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Ensure a safe, caring, and compliant environment for children and staff by implementing policies and procedures related to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety.
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers, promoting active involvement in their child's learning and implementing strategies to attract new families.
  • Manage the recruitment, training, and performance of a dedicated team of early years educators, promoting continuous professional development and ensuring a motivated workforce.
  • Oversee the nursery's financial performance, including budgeting, invoicing, and resource allocation, ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest standards of care.

Requirements:

  • A minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education.
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role within an Early Years setting.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
  • A deep understanding of safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare regulations.
  • Financial management experience, including budget control and reporting.
