LRQA is a leading global assurance provider, dedicated to delivering high-quality services to our clients. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Global Head of Technical Quality & Governance.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our commercial operations deliver consistently to our clients, aligned to external regulatory or delivery requirements. This is critical to our ability to meet our clients' expectations.

The role will involve leading the global TQ&G function to ensure strategic and commercial alignment to the business, while preserving accreditation and other regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring performance against standards and procedures, identifying potential issues, and making recommendations to continually raise our global standards.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring LRQA's licence to operate is maintained by effective accreditation management with external bodies.
  • Leading the global TQ&G function to ensure that required standards are maintained and aligned to local and global strategic commercial needs.
  • Establishing and promoting a high-end quality culture across LRQA globally and sharing knowledge and industry best practice to build and maintain our brand and technical integrity.
  • Monitoring performance against standards and procedures to draw out potential issues/make recommendations to continually raise our global standards aligned to the appropriate codes and standards.
  • Taking accountability as global escalation point for the management of technical risks, third-party complaints, certification disputes, and accreditation/scheme non-conformities and highlighting the importance of maintaining quality standards aligned to our brand and market position.
  • Representing LRQA business interests with external accreditation bodies and sector schemes to build and maintain a strong network and credibility across the industry.
  • Interpreting regulatory rules to ensure that technical decisions strike a balance between meeting client and business needs, and adhering to accreditation requirements, making recommendations for input into local and global operational strategies.
  • Collaborating and communicating with functions across LRQA globally, to ensure consistency in the development and delivery of our global services and client experience.
  • Leading, managing, and developing team members to build capacity and capability through recruitment, performance management, talent/succession planning, training, and development to build and drive a performance-driven culture. Encouraging direct reports to do the same with their teams.
  • Acting as a role model/ambassador for both the LRQA values and leadership behaviours.
  • Identifying new industry trends and working cross-function to develop new products/services.
  • Supporting Service Delivery Teams with 'User Friendly' tools to consistently deliver a quality service to both internal and external clients.
