Job Title: Commercial Trader

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Trader to join our team at Prax Group. As a Commercial Trader, you will be responsible for cultivating, growing, and closing spot and term-based business in line with the Group Strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Directly manage and have PnL responsibility for the Light Ends Supply and Trading Book.
  2. Strong focus on asset, exports, blending, and operational optimization.
  3. Drive and continuously improve trading processes and risk management.
  4. Understand downstream sales and operations processes and refinery optimization/flows to have a collective approach to other stakeholders.
  5. Understand back office and finance functions.
  6. Negotiate and structure long-term light ends contracts.

Requirements:

  1. 5-10 years of light end trading experience.
  2. Asset economics.
  3. Risk and exposure management.
  4. Demonstrable light ends arbitrage trading experience.
  5. Established network of contacts to support immediate enabling of trading opportunities.
  6. Ability to appreciate market opportunities as they arise and develop short, mid-term, and long-term strategic plans to realize the same.
  7. Understanding of light ends trading cycles and key processes and interface with other internal stakeholders.
  8. Working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook.
  9. Flexible to support the prevailing needs of the business.
