About the Role

Shaw Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bank Catering Assistant to join our team at Maes-Y-Wennol. As a key member of our catering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality, nutritious meals that meet their individual needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the chef in food preparation, ensuring that all meals are prepared to the highest standards.
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents, using a variety of ingredients and cooking methods.
  • Load and unload the dishwasher, wash up equipment that cannot be put in the dishwasher, and maintain a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to the care floors, ensuring that all areas are tidy and free from clutter.
  • Clear tea trolleys and empty kitchen rubbish, maintaining a safe and healthy working environment.
  • Carry out reasonable requests as instructed by the Senior Chef/Chef, ensuring that the nutritional needs of residents are met.
  • Ensure compliance with the Health & Safety Policy and Regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all staff and residents.
