Sign Language Interpreter and Care Assistant

About the Job
As a British Sign Language Support Worker, you will be working with deaf or hard of hearing adults, providing them with the support they need to live independently. Your duties will include communicating in British Sign Language, maintaining their dignity and safety, and assisting with daily tasks such as shopping and using public transport.
Responsibilities
- Providing physical support and assistance with daily tasks
- Communicating in British Sign Language
- Ensuring the dignity and safety of service users
- Supporting personal skills development through hobbies and interests
- Teaching life skills such as shopping and using public transport
- Working with healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care standards
- Assisting in evaluating care standards and service provision

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Native signers or those with BSL level 3 or above
- A passion for caring and helping people
- 6 months experience as a BSL Support Worker
- Ability to work on shift/rota patterns
- The right to work in the UK
