Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Developer to join our team in Glasgow, Scotland. As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for developing critical systems for one of our valued clients in the financial services industry.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Java development, preferably with experience in Spring, Domain Driven Design, and micro-services. You will work primarily as a Java Developer as part of a collaborative agile development team, liaising directly with various stakeholders and developing functionality in an iterative fashion.

Responsibilities
  • Develop high-quality Java code using best practices and design patterns
  • Liaise directly with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide technical expertise
  • Work collaboratively with other developers within the scrum team to deliver projects on time
Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

  • Core Java (minimum Java 8, Java 15 preferred) and Spring
  • Experience in Domain Driven Design and micro-services
  • Certainty in OOP design and SOLID principles
  • Strong communication skills and an excellent grasp of English
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with data warehouses or MPP databases such as Greenplum
  • Big data analytics technologies such as Spark
  • UI development experience (e.g., Angular, React)
About Our Benefits

Synechron offers a competitive salary range of £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additional benefits include:
