Purchase Ledger Clerk Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join our team at Debbie Burbage Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

* Posting to project costs

* Posting payments allocations on the purchase ledger

* Proposing purchase ledger payment runs and agreeing schedule of payments

* Running full month-end procedures on purchase ledger

* Setting up new supplier accounts

* Maintaining accurate manual and computerised records as appropriate

* Undertaking checking and reconciliation under the direction of the Finance Director

Requirements:

* Previous experience working in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

* Excellent telephone communication skills and ability to effectively prioritise and organise workload

Benefits:

* Part Time 15 hours a week over a minimum 3 days with flexibility to cover holidays
