About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Ward Administrator to join our team at Elysium Healthcare. As a key member of our administrative team, you will provide essential support to the ward manager and clinical staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the ward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the ward manager, including clerical and typing duties as required.
  • Maintain and update filing and record-keeping systems, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Update information, including primary nurse lists and ward posters, to ensure effective communication and organization.
  • Contribute to the general upkeep and organization of the nurses' office and ward manager's office, ensuring a clean and efficient working environment.
  • Provide administration support to the department as needed, including minute-taking, project support, and other duties.
  • Assist the ward manager in managing the ward's budget, ensuring good accounting practices and accurate record-keeping.
  • Support data collection and preparation for quality assurance audit programs, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Act as a liaison between the public, outside professionals, and other hospital departments and wards, handling routine telephone calls and general inquiries.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role and/or environment.
  • Knowledge of healthcare terminology and concepts.
  • Previous experience typing medical reports and patient discharge letters.
  • GCSE English, C or above.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
