Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Editor and Editorial Board to develop high-quality content aligned with our editorial strategy
  • Commission, edit, and circulate articles for peer review, ensuring seamless publication
  • Provide expert comment on content in development, ensuring accuracy and relevance
  • Work closely with publishing and editorial production teams to streamline the editorial process
  • Contribute to regular updates of our social media accounts, showcasing our expertise
  • Support the editor with press releases, post-publication issues, and criticism or complaints
  • Help review internal editorial processes, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Represent the journal at online and in-person conferences, meetings, and events
Requirements
  • Experience in writing for clinical and public health audiences
  • Editorial experience on a general medical journal, including commissioning, editing, and writing content
  • Critical appraisal of evidence in writing articles
  • Experience of working in a matrix, hybrid environment
  • Proficiency in ScholarOne (or other online content management systems)
  • Postgraduate qualification related to evidence-based healthcare
