Risk Management Specialist

We're seeking a Risk Manager to support the Group in achieving its objectives. As a key member of the Group Risk & Audit team, you'll be responsible for developing and implementing an enterprise risk management framework that drives innovation and sets the standards for risk management.
Key Responsibilities- Engage with stakeholders to understand their risks, challenges, and priorities, and collaborate with leadership to deliver effective education, training, and change management.
- Drive the implementation and improvement of the enterprise risk management framework, providing innovative support, conducting risk workshops, and ensuring accessible training methods.
- Support operation risk management reporting and monitoring, identifying common risks, interconnected risks, and potential material impacts.
We're looking for someone with sufficient experience in a risk management role, including experience of implementing and embedding enterprise risk management frameworks across a large organisation. A relevant qualification in risk management or equivalent relevant work experience is also essential.
You'll need strong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead risk workshops and present to senior stakeholders with confidence. A passion for innovation, continuous improvement, and a commitment to fostering a culture of proactive risk management are also essential.
About SSESSE's Group Risk & Audit teams are responsible for supporting the SSE Group in meeting their risk management responsibilities, ensuring that we meet our obligations under the UK Corporate Governance Code. We undertake assurance reviews right across the business to help identify any risks that may impact our performance, integrity, solvency, or liquidity, and offer appropriate recommendations to help mitigate these.
