Chief Technical Officer for Carbon Capture

We are seeking an experienced Chief Technical Officer for Carbon Capture to join our team at Deep Science Ventures. The ideal candidate will have a higher degree in Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related field. They should be chartered engineers recognised by an appropriate engineering institution or council.
The successful candidate will have experience working in an operating plant, manufacturing environment, or other industrial setting. Familiarity with gas compression, water pumping and/or oilfield waterflood systems is essential. Additionally, they should be proficient in CAD, process simulation software (e.g Aspen, HYsys) and familiar with languages such as MATLAB, Python (or equivalent). Strong analytical skills, and a willingness to solve problems related to process design, root cause analysis, and optimisation are necessary.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around £90,000 - £120,000 per annum, depending on experience. Our company offers a unique opportunity area-specific know-how from our network of Partners and Advisors, up to £250k in investment to incorporate the new venture and develop early proof-of-concept data, continuous post-spinout support, including fundraising, commercial partnerships, recruitment, and team-building.
