Salary Range:

£82,375 - £105,500 per annum

Job Description:

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of CCS financial models, valuations, and risk analysis. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to optimize project value and mitigate risks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth financial modelling and analysis for CCS projects, including cash flow forecasting, sensitivity analysis, and risk assessment.
  • Evaluate project economics and financial feasibility, considering capital expenditure, operating costs, revenue streams, and regulatory incentives.
  • Assist in structuring and executing complex project financing deals, including debt and equity financing, tax equity, and offtake agreements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, commercial, legal, and tax teams to optimize project value and mitigate risks.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory developments, and technological advancements in the CCS sector.
  • Develop and implement financial reporting and control processes to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Significant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, consulting, or energy finance.
  • Experience in CCS, particularly in T&S business models.
  • Proven track record in creating and assessing financial models, valuations, and risk analysis.
  • Strong understanding of project finance principles, including debt and equity structuring, credit risk assessment, and financial covenants.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry, particularly in carbon capture, utilization, and storage.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Able to work autonomously and as part of a collaborative team.
