Wokingham Borough Council Appeals Coordinator Role

We are looking for a skilled Appeals Coordinator to join our SEND Team at Wokingham Borough Council.

As an Appeals Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of SEND appeals, from registration to tribunal hearings. You will work closely with colleagues within Education, Health and Care, and external stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in SEND appeal management and contribute to the success of our SEND Team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of SEND appeals, from registration to tribunal hearings
  • Work closely with colleagues within Education, Health and Care, and external stakeholders
  • Analyse information and reports to identify reputational and financial risk
  • Represent the Council in SEND tribunal hearings

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of SEND law and regulations
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills

Benefits:

  • Salary: £50,788 - £56,075 per annum
  • 37 hours per week, full-time contract
