Aspens Services Ltd, a leading contract catering company, is seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team. We are committed to delivering exceptional food and service to our schools, and we need someone who shares our passion for excellence.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the operational and financial management of our school catering facilities, focusing on delivering high-quality food and service. Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a team of chefs and kitchen staff
- Assisting with the management of catering operations, including stock, food, and labor costs
- Ensuring consistency of food and service standards delivered to students and staff
- Driving sales through promotions and added-value events
- Overseeing menu development and implementation
- Maintaining company systems and procedures, including health and safety protocols
- Carrying out regular audits to ensure standards are being met
We are looking for someone with a passion for delivering exceptional food and service, as well as the following skills and experience:
- Craft-based experience using fresh ingredients
- Knowledge of health and safety practices and protocols
- Financial understanding of gross profit management and achieving sales targets
- Supervisory experience in a similar environment
As a member of our team, you will benefit from:
- Competitive hourly rate of £13
- 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday during school term time
- 38 weeks per year, with no late nights or weekend work
