Operations Excellence Manager

Are you a detail-oriented leader with a passion for excellence? Do you have a knack for driving performance and compliance in operations and maintenance? We're seeking an Operations Standards Manager to join our team at the Canal & River Trust.
About the RoleThis is a key leadership position that requires a collaborative and results-driven individual to oversee the development and implementation of operational standards and guidance across our 6 regions and MEICA operations and maintenance teams. As an Operations Standards Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and maintaining operational standards and guidance to ensure consistency and excellence in operations and maintenance
- Leading the compilation of operational performance data and KPIs to inform business decisions and drive improvement
- Collaborating with regional and MEICA operations and maintenance management teams to drive performance and compliance
- Establishing and maintaining a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
- Supporting the Operations Performance Director and Regional Directors in driving operational excellence and consistency across the organization
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A thorough understanding of operational performance management and continuous improvement principles
- Experience in leading teams and driving performance and compliance in operations and maintenance
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders
- A strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions
- Experience with budget planning, management, and control
We offer a competitive salary of £53,000 - £55,000, plus a car cash allowance of £450 per month, and a range of employee benefits, including:
- A contributory DC pension scheme arrangement
- 25 days paid holiday (plus paid Bank Holidays), increasing to 27 days after 3 years, and 30 days after 5 years
