We are seeking an experienced Senior Phlebotomist to join our team on a permanent basis in the Knowsley area. This role is ideal for individuals with phlebotomy expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Job Requirements
  • Provide phlebotomy services across clinic venues and patients' homes throughout Knowsley Borough.
  • Assume a leadership role within the phlebotomy team, working closely with the Team Manager to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and quality improvement of our service.
  • Work flexible hours, primarily between 08:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday, with potential evening and weekend shifts as the service expands.

To excel in this role, you should:

  • Be adaptable, proactive, and demonstrate a positive attitude.
  • Be willing and able to travel for work purposes between clinic sites and patient homes.
  • Be committed to attending training sessions and team meetings to maintain and enhance service delivery.

You will play a key role in providing a high-quality Knowsley-wide Phlebotomy service, collaborate with the Team Manager to undertake workload planning, and provide leadership, mentorship, and role modelling to support staff within the service.

This role involves frequent exposure to body fluids, blood, urine, and samples that are potentially infective with pathogenic micro-organisms/viruses. You must be able to work safely and effectively in this environment.

The estimated salary for this position is approximately £29,500 per annum, depending on experience.
