We are seeking a highly skilled Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to join our client's Engineering team at their Burntisland site. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for delivering preventative, corrective, and reactive support to the operations team across all aspects of the site assets and infrastructure.
The successful candidate will have excellent team management experience and be able to complete designated preventative maintenance tasks, identify potential failures, and plan and execute corrective maintenance tasks. You will also be able to identify potential engineering / operational solutions to recurring failures and implement and complete resolutions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Developing and implementing PPM schedules based on experience, existing PPM's and breakdown data.
- Electrical maintenance, including PLC's.
- Mechanical maintenance.
- Mechanical assembly.
- Motors.
- Motor control fault finding.
- Electrical / Pneumatic / Hydraulic fault finding.
- Source and manage external contractors / suppliers.
- Build relationships with group CI and engineering functions to enable continuous improvement.
- Data driven.
- Root cause analysis.
- Support the development of engineering technician colleagues on site.
As a team player, you will demonstrate high competency in health and safety awareness as well as excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. Knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, mechanical power systems and the ability to interpret and amend technical, mechanical and electrical drawings are expected.
A minimum of an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in an engineering related subject, ideally mechatronics is required and experience in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.
