Hardware Lead Engineer Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is working with a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation to recruit a Hardware Lead Engineer for a contract position.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Lead Engineer to join our customer's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and testing modem system hardware, including circuit board and unit level design and testing.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design and develop modem system hardware, including circuit boards and units, to meet Military-level design and test standards (Mil-Std 810)
  • Design and develop hardware to meet regulatory requirements for CE/UKCA marks
  • Test and diagnose circuit boards and units to ensure they meet design and test standards
  • Generate test documentation for circuit boards and units

Requirements

  • Experience in designing and testing mixed-signal electronics, including RF and analogue circuits
  • Experience in designing to meet Military-level design and test standards (Mil-Std 810)
  • Experience in designing to meet regulatory requirements for CE/UKCA marks
  • Knowledge of design and test standards for aircraft-level design (DO-254/DO-178/DO-160)

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with Mentor Graphics design and layout tools
  • Experience in generating schematic design and circuit board layout design

About the Role

This is a contract position with a leading Aerospace and Defence organisation. The successful candidate will be working on a modem system hardware project, designing and testing circuit boards and units to meet Military-level design and test standards.
