Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Management Specialist to join our team at Trace - Expert Accountancy Recruitment. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with expertise in financial management, particularly in international development settings.

About the Role

  • Purchasing and sales ledgers: Ensure accurate maintenance and management of ledgers while responding to supplier and customer queries.
  • Invoice processing: Process supplier invoices, staff expenses, and credit claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial procedures.
  • Payments and receivables: Schedule and authorise electronic payments, raise and monitor invoices, and chase overdue payments.
  • Bank reconciliations: Perform bank account reconciliations and complete quarterly control account reconciliations.
  • Month-end and year-end close routines: Assist with month-end routines, prepare journals, relevant spreadsheets, and support annual audit processes.
  • Financial reporting: Ensure all transactions are accurately coded and input into SAGE, preparing reports as required.
  • Advice and support: Provide financial advice, assisting teams to ensure smooth financial operations and compliance.

About You

  • Qualifications: Part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA) or Qualified AAT, with solid financial management experience in international development settings.
  • Experience: Proficient in accounts payable, receivable, bank reconciliations, and month-end/year-end close routines.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficient in SAGE or similar accounting systems.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with donor compliance, statutory reporting standards, and international financial regulations.
