**Job Summary**

Spire Healthcare is seeking a skilled Mechanical Trades Specialist to join their team on a bank contract. As an Engineering Support Specialist, you will provide a comprehensive and cost-efficient service to the hospital, working closely with the Engineering Manager and the engineering team.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide in-house day-to-day reactive maintenance services, ensuring compliance with current HTM recommendations and legislative guidance.
  • Undertake maintenance and testing of equipment, identifying areas for improvement and implementing preventative maintenance programs.
  • Assist in the implementation of a comprehensive maintenance program, including the maintenance and testing of building services, equipment, and associated records.
  • Liaise with external contractors providing specialist services to building/building services/equipment.
  • Provide out-of-hours emergency on-call services, ensuring the hospital's engineering needs are met.
  • Complete weekly records of plant and services to ensure they are within required parameters.
  • Order materials required for maintenance purposes, ensuring appropriate levels of back-up stocks and proper storage and security.
  • Deputize for the Engineering Manager in their absence and undertake any other duties as assigned.
  • Attend mandatory training and relevant ongoing professional development.

**Requirements**

  • Qualified as a Mechanical Tradesman to City & Guilds equivalent.
  • Post-qualification experience in a similar role.
  • Flexibility to work multiple days per week, ideally.
  • Right to work in the UK - This role does not offer visa sponsorship.
