As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance and ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Lead and inspire our Group Finance team to achieve overall finance objectives
* Work closely with the Group Chief Executive, Chairman, and other stakeholders on Group Development planning
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting that supports business decision-making and meets UK statutory requirements
* Oversee the production of monthly management accounts for each Business Unit and ensure accurate Group consolidation
* Manage the annual budget process and guide departments through the timetable
* Provide robust cashflow forecasting and minimise tax risks through compliance and an effective tax strategy
* Continually review and enhance financial accounting processes to ensure they are robust, streamlined, and reflect best practice
* Build and manage effective relationships with external audit, tax, and insurance providers
* Work closely with operational managers to balance business support with budgetary discipline
* Fulfill the responsibilities of the Company Secretary, ensuring all statutory obligations are met

Requirements:

* Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, ideally within a similar turnover company
* Previous experience working within the manufacturing sector, including knowledge and practice in implementing and managing standard costing systems
* Extensive experience and contemporary knowledge of accounting principles, including UK GAAP and IFRS
* High competence in managing cashflow and treasury operations
* Exposure to UK tax and VAT returns, with a strong understanding of compliance requirements
* Strong strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to influence at all levels
* Excellent communicator, capable of building strong relationships both internally and externally
* A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
* Highly IT literate, with deep experience using leading accounting software, MS Office, and ERP systems
* A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a deep understanding of accounting principles, including UK GAAP, IFRS, and UK statutory requirements
