Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Case Manager to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a Case Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting families and children in need, providing guidance and resources to help them achieve stability and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Registered Manager and Deputy Manager in delivering the Centre's objectives and maintaining compliance with National Minimum Standards.
- Oversee the management of a caseload, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Complete weekly summary reports for assigned families and direct staff on key work sessions.
- Liaise with Local Authorities, Guardians, and Independent Social Workers to develop and implement assessment plans.
- Manage the physical, financial, and human resources of the facility effectively, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
- Participate in the on-call rota, always supporting the smooth operation of the Centre.
Personal Attributes:
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage sensitive and complex information.
- A warm, sensitive, and non-judgmental approach to working with families.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Childcare & Education or equivalent.
- At least three years of experience working with families and children, including child protection cases.
- Experience in residential settings and supervising staff is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and Residential Family Centres National Minimum Standards.
