GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Worker to join our team in South Yorkshire. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children aged 5-18 with emotional trauma, learning disabilities, autism, mental health, and challenging behavior.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individual care plans in collaboration with other professionals to ensure each young person's needs are met and their goals are achieved.
- Maintain open and effective communication with young people, their families, and other professionals involved in their care.
- Conduct risk assessments and ensure a safe and secure living environment.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of paperwork, including incident reports, medication administration records, logbooks, and handover sheets.
- Organize and participate in recreational and educational activities that promote social skills, personal growth, and community involvement.
- Support and guide young people in managing their emotions and behaviors.
- At least 1 year of experience in a care setting with children in the UK.
- A valid DBS on the Update Service.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Willingness to engage with residents.
- Relevant qualification in childcare or social care (e.g., NVQ Level 3).
