We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Lead Consultant Psychiatrist to join our team at Elysium Healthcare.
Key Responsibilities- Provide senior clinical advisory support to sites on clinical matters and strategy across Pinhoe View, The Woodmill, and The Copse.
- Contribute to the development and review of policies and procedures.
- Lead quality improvement and clinical governance initiatives.
- Manage medical staff, supervise other medics, and participate in recruitment.
- Represent Elysium's clinical governance structures regionally.
- Hold a Responsible Clinician role with an inpatient caseload.
- Engage in multi-disciplinary, multi-agency, and partnership working.
- Implement the Mental Health Act and liaise with the Ministry of Justice as required.
- Lead clinical governance meetings and service development at your chosen site alongside the Hospital Director.
- Hold an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification.
- Be fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice.
- Hold MRCPsych or equivalent approval from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
- Have Section 12(2) approval to work in England and Approved clinician status.
- Prior medical leadership experience is desirable.
- A competitive annual salary.

The sites are ideally located for rural living, with proximity to the coast and areas of outstanding natural beauty. Exeter and Taunton have national rail services to London, and Exeter has an international airport. There are several good public and independent primary and secondary schools in the area.
